ROSEBURG: The local YMCA’s Active Older Adults group is hosting a luncheon for county seniors.
The Heart Healthy Catered April Luncheon is at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Central Douglas County YMCA, 1151 N.W. Stewart Park Drive. The event is limited to the first 75 seniors who register; cost is $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers.
The meal will be catered by Fine Things Catering in Roseburg. Registered Dietitian Nancy McCaffrey will give a presentation on heart-healthy nutrition and provide a cooking demonstration.
Lunch includes an Asian chicken wrap, strawberry salad with poppyseed dressing, light dessert and a beverage.
